Overcoming Challenges in Dr. Gail Weingast’s Early Career
A Nontraditional Start When Dr. Gail Weingast began her academic journey in 1969, medicine wasn’t her first choice. She graduated from Tufts University’s Jackson College with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. Choosing to pivot toward medicine after completing her undergraduate degree was the first of many challenges she embraced. Transitioning to Medicine Earning a place at Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Weingast graduated in 1976.
